Levant

Levant is perhaps the ultimate submarine mine with the bulk of it's production being from lodes far out under the sea. It experienced all of the problems of working beneath the sea bed and despite this over its long history produced fabulous profits for some of it's shareholders. Levant was also the scene of one of the most important feats of engineering undertaken when in 1965 a hole in the seabed was successfully sealed allowing the safe expansion of Geevor westwards into Levant. Visit the Levant Mine website lots more photos, and up to date information about what's happening on this site today.
